20 year anniversary show this wednesday, august 27th, and the improv in San Jose this weekend!

What up, my friends?
I’m in the middle of traveling all over the land doing stand up shows having the time of my life, and this wednesday is a particularly special occasion for me – it’s my 20th anniversary of doing comedy.
August 27th, 1988 I got onstage at an open mic night with a goofy blazer on with rolled up sleeves and did my best impression of what I thought a stand up comedian was.
It was awful, and it was nerve-racking, but after stumbling through 5 minutes of bad material and awkward delivery I was convinced that I found my calling in life.
As I look back on that first time onstage, it’s very likely that was the most important day of my life. I even thought about pussying out a few times that day, but thankfully I went through with it, and now 20 years later I’m celebrating in Hollywood.
I really don’t think I would be enjoying life nearly as much if I wasn’t a stand up, so tomorrow night is a pretty special moment for me.
I would be honored if any of my peeps in the LA area that aren’t busy tomorrow, wednesday the 27th could make it down to the LA improv for my little celebration.

I’m also going to be headed up to the San Jose improv this weekend with Joey Diaz and Ari Shaffir. I haven’t been up there for a while, and I’m really looking forward to it.
The San Jose improv is in an awesome old theater, and it’s definitely one of the coolest stand up comedy clubs in the country.
We’ll be there this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
